a landlord from a previous place of living forgot to cash a rent check one month. i thought the money was gone too. however, after hiking the rent 300 bucks within the last month and me booking it the hell out of there, they found the check and asked if they could cash it. i said no. i wasnt on the lease, i dont live there anymore and the rate increase for the last month and week i lived there...
